At Air Mauritius your safety has always been our topmost priority. In these unprecedented times, our focus is even more on the health & safety of our customers and of our personnel.
With the gradual restart of our operations, we have adapted our services to offer you a safe journey with us.
As the national airline of the Republic of Mauritius, we are committed to our national responsibility. While the borders of Mauritius are still closed for International flights, we continue to operate flights for the repatriation of our citizens as well as scheduled cargo flights, which have also enabled the transportation of crucial medical supplies.
All the necessary sanitary and other precautionary measures are being taken in full compliance and even beyond what is recommended by regulatory bodies like the World Health Organisation (WHO), the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the European Air Safety Agency (EASA) and other aviation partners.
Our trained personnelOur front-liners are equipped with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and have been trained and briefed about the latest hygiene and cleaning protocols.
Our cabin crew are briefed on the latest updates about health and safety measures, and are subjected to temperature screening before each flight. Crew members are provided with full protective equipment for their safety and that of our passengers.
Cleaning of aircraftA reinforced deep cleaning protocol has been implemented for all our aircraft cabins including high touch surfaces, all cabin items and service equipment among others. Full disinfection of the aircraft including cargo holds is conducted as required, in accordance with recommendations from regulatory and health authorities.
At the Airport
With all the precautionary measures now in place, the check-in and boarding processes are longer, and passengers are advised to arrive at the airport 3 hours before the scheduled departure.

Airport authorities have arranged for the availability of hand sanitisers at every point of interaction and at the restrooms.
Temperature screening is carried out for all passengers prior to the flight.
