When you fly with us, make sure to follow the instructions below. If you are flying with one of our partners, we invite you to read their terms and conditions.

With Air Mauritius, you are entitled to:

  • 1 piece of hand baggage if you are flying in Economy Class, and
  • 2 pieces of hand baggage if you are flying in Business Class

For your comfort, you may also bring on board personal items such as an overcoat, wrap, blanket, umbrella, walking stick, laptop, camera, binoculars, infant carrying basket, and baby food to be consumed in-flight, as well as a reasonable quantity of duty-free purchases. 

Travelling with Infants:  Infants not entitled to a seat  are allowed 1 piece of cabin baggage not exceeding 7 kg.

Note that each hand baggage should not exceed 7 kg and 115 cm (Length + Width + Height)

Important Note

Economy class :-
Normal Free Hand Carry luggage is limited to 1 piece weighing up to a maximum of 7 kgs
Additional excess up to 5 kgs will be allowed at the rate of 10 Euros per excess Kilo.

The maximum hand carry luggage authorized will be limited to 1 pc / 12 kgs

Business class :-
Normal Free Hand Carry luggage is limited to 2 pieces weighing up to a maximum of 7 kgs each.
Additional excess up to 5 kgs per piece will be allowed at the rate of 10 Euros per excess Kilo.

The maximum hand carry luggage authorized will be limited to 2 pieces of 12 kgs each

In case of flight connections, the operating airline's transportation rules may apply.

Mauritius/Europe flights operated by Air France

  • While travelling in the Economy class you are allowed to bring 1 hand baggage with dimensions 35 x 55 x 25 cm as well as 1 accessory, all of which should weigh maximum 12 kgs.
  • In case of non-compliance, hand luggage will be collected at boarding gate and put in the hold.

Equipment for persons with disabilities

Air Mauritius is committed to providing a positive travel experience to our customers requiring special assistance. Disabled passengers wishing to travel with Air Mauritius are allowed to carry on board  equipment such as folding wheelchairs, crutches and/or orthopedic appliances, free of charge. These equipment can be stored in the hold or in the cabin if there is enough space.

Please note that certain items cannot be brought in the cabin. Liquids, aerosols, and gels are also subject to restrictions.

Important Notice

Some airports have more restrictive conditions regarding the number and weight of hand baggage and may require that hand baggage be tagged by airline staff at check-in, before passengers go through security checkpoints.
